The Nap's ThriftwayChildren's Parade kicks off the Newberg Old Fashioned Festival on Thursday, July 23, 2026. Children are invited to decorate their bikes, trikes, scooters, wagons, and strollers and parade through the streets of Newberg. Costumes inspired by the festival theme, favorite characters, heroes, or simply a child's imagination are always encouraged.

Glen's Gizmos has been bringing his Hands-On Gizmos to the Old Fashioned Festival for years, and we're excited to continue that tradition. Explore dozens of puzzle boards created by retired OMSI exhibit designer Glen Mills. Enjoy a variety of hands-on challenges and learning stations focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM). Fun for curious minds of all ages!
KIDS ZONE PRESENTED BY A FAMILY PLACE SATURDAY, JULY 25TH | 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM LOCATION: TENNIS COURTS ON 6TH ST NEAR RENNE PARK.
After the Grand Parade, head over to the tennis courts on 6th Street near Renne Park for an afternoon of family fun! Enjoy free activities and games provided by A Family Place.
